Just back from the first fair of the year at Towcester Town Hall. There were approximately 12 different stalls. It always amazes me to see the talent on show at these events.
It was quite cold, well freezing actually but a good time was had by all, I hope!
As well as my beautiful jewellery there was another lady with beaded jewellery and some cards. Talking of cards we had one of our regulars, Sue, with her beautiful handmade cards. Other regulars included Tom our woodturner. He did a good bit of trade in mice as some of the stallholders seem to have a thing going that we all need to have mice on our tables. I bought 3 LOL. Trying to think of names for them – Edam, Cheddar and Wensleydale, maybe!
Yet again Michael did a roaring trade on his fantastic handmade wooden toys, he virtually sold out by lunchtime.
Another regular is Maggie from Daisy Dumpling with her lovely hand crochet accessories which include scarves, wrist warmers and bracelets. Hilary was also with us bringing her beautiful knitting, specialising in children’s knits.
We also had another regular, Lesley with her stunning cushions.
Oops I almost forgot about Sara, hiding in the corner, painting away.
Another new stallholder was Tina with her lovely art.
Heather worked tirelessly in the kitchen making bacon rolls, sausage rolls, soup, pork and stuffing rolls and copious amounts of cups of tea and coffee. She also had displays of artwork in the form of cards and other items.
And last but by no means least there is Julian, our organiser, he also worked tirelessly in the kitchen making cups of tea and coffee and supplying us with lovely lemon curd cheesecake and Raspberry cheesecake. Julian also makes chutneys and honey from his own bees. His main job is in framing, where he gets all the time, I don’t know! To get further details of future events click here
Please forgive me if I have forgotten anyone. Looking forward to next month – Saturday 7th March.
